Who’s ready to run for office in 2024?

Hello Lexington County Democrats!

2024 is a huge election year nationally, especially for the President, but we also have many local elected positions that we need candidates to run for.

Please consider running for office yourself or recruit someone you know who would be a good candidate.

Filing for these offices is traditionally in the last two weeks of March, with primaries (if needed in June).

US Congressional District 2

(10 districts touch Lexington County, 1 has an incumbent Democrat, the rest are Republican)
District 39 (R)
District 40 (R)
District 69 (R)
District 71 (R)
District 85 (R)
District 87 (R)
District 88 (R)
District 89 (R)

District 96 (R)

Lexington County Council

5 out of the 9 seats are up for election.  All are Republican:

District 3
District 4
District 5
District 6

Lexington County Elected Officials

All are Republican
Auditor
Clerk of Court
Coroner
Probate Judge
Register of Deeds
Sheriff
Solicitor
Treasurer

School Boards

(non-partisan, but we need decent people to counter the people who want to ban books, etc.)

Lexington District Three: 4 seats
Lexington District Four: 4 seats
Lexington/Richland District Five: 3 seats
