Yesterday, there was a special election for State House District 98 in Dorchester County. Our Democratic nominee, Dr. Sonja Ogletree Satani, ran one heck of a race. She is down 21 votes going into a recount to a MAGA Republican in a district Donald Trump won by over 6 points in 2024. The lesson to all of us is that we can compete and win if we run!
This year is a pivotal moment for South Carolina and the future of our country. We have the chance to change the course of our current political state by nominating qualified, determined democratic candidates who will fight for freedoms rather than restrictions.
But finding the right candidates starts with you! From local elections to state-wide races, we want you to say “yes” and run for office to give our state and country a shot at real change. If 2025 taught us anything, it’s that Democrats have the upper hand, so let’s capitalize on this moment and win BIG in 2026.
