When we look back on this moment, we will remember Friday in West Columbia as proof of what happens when neighbors refuse to sit on the sidelines.
The energy was electric as a massive crowd packed the room for “On the Road to Flip the Future with Gov. Gavin Newsom”. The Lexington County Democratic Party was proud to join forces with the South Carolina Democratic Party to make this incredible event a reality.
Change does not trickle down from distant capitals—it begins right here in our neighborhoods when everyday people show up, stand shoulder to shoulder, and decide that our future is worth fighting for. When national leaders look at South Carolina, they are looking directly at the grassroots momentum we are building right here at home.
To everyone who packed the house: thank you for bringing your hope, your voices, and your commitment. This is only the beginning.
